Our client is a growing supplier to independent hotels across Australia who works with members on a local basis to gain a strategic local advantage. Our client also offers accounts, payroll and hotel management business solutions to members to suit their business needs.
This organisation has a fantastic opportunity for a Financial Controller to join their senior management team, reporting directly to the Managing Director. The primary focus of this role is business strategy development and management of finance and accounting functions to further develop the organisation’s profitability.
The Financial Controller will be responsible for:
- Statutory and management accounting functions
- Review, update and implement internal control procedures
- Preparation of compliance reports
- Directing and overseeing the financial operations of the organisation
- Conduct financial analysis of the organisation to develop short and longer term strategic plans and budgets
- Conduct due diligence and financial modelling on potential acquisitions, alliance, mergers and other new business opportunities
- Liaise with external service providers as required
The successful candidate will possess: - Tertiary qualifications in Accounting / Commerce
- CA / CPA qualifications
- Well developed interpersonal skills with both internal and external parties
- revious experience in a similar role
- Enjoy providing advice and support to senior management
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
